Event Description


The CBRT April monthly meeting will be held on Saturday, April 15, at 10:00 am in the community room at the H. Davis Recreation Center. The topic of this month’s discussion will be Black Politics in Colorado.

CBRT has invited a panel of political operatives and experts to talk about the Black Vote, Black Democrats and the Democratic Party, Role of Black Elected Officials and Black Community Outreach and Participation in 2018. This panel will include:

Morgan Carroll, Colorado Democratic Party Chair

  •  Angela Williams, Colorado State Senator (Denver)
  •  Mike Johnston, Former Colorado State Senator and Democratic Candidate for Governor
  •  Penfield Tate, Former State Senator and Democratic Analyst
  •  Elbra Wedgeworth, Fmr. Denver City Councilwoman and
  •  Chair of 2008 Democratc National Convention
  •  Khadija Haynes, Democratic Consultant and Principal, KKH Associates
  •  Rhonda Fields, Colorado State Senator (Aurora)
  •  June Waller, Colo. Springs, Activist/Community Leader
  • Juston Cooper, Denver Activist /Community Leader

In addition, CBRT will have a presentation on the National Western Center and the opportunities to engage the Center and it’s business programs and community resources. Please share this information and plan to attend.
